Philadelphia Eagles Analysis…

Philadelphia is coming into this game with a seven-game winning streak and the best record in the NFL, which has caught the rest of the league by surprise.

Last season, quarterback Carson Wentz showed a lot of poise and potential as a rookie, but not too many people expected him to be in contention for the MVP award in his second season.

Wentz, who leads the league in touchdown passes, has the Eagles believing they can go all the way this season. Philadelphia has the second highest scoring offense in the NFL this season, as well as one of the best defenses in the league, which is holding opponents to 19.9 points per game.

The biggest knock against the Eagles is that the team has only played two teams with winning records so far. However, with the way they have played so far this year, this team is capable of defeating any team put in front of them.

Even though they will be favored to win this game, the Eagles can’t afford to overlook a Cowboys team that needs to win to keep their playoff hopes alive.
The good news is Dallas will be without running back Ezekiel Elliott, which should be a relief to the Eagles defense.

Dallas Cowboys Analysis…

After getting sacked eight times last week, Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott will need his offensive line to be at their best in this game or else it will be another long night for the Cowboys, with their playoff chances diminishing even more.

If they can keep the Eagles defense at bay, Prescott should have enough time to find open receivers, which will help open up some running lanes for Alfred Morris, who has replaced the suspended Elliott as the team’s starter.

The Cowboys also have decide what to do with Chaz Green if Tyron Smith can’t play this week. Green, who started in Smith’s place, gave up four sacks on Sunday.

If the Cowboys don’t want to lose Prescott to injury, they have to find someone that can protect their franchise quarterback better.

Another problem the Cowboys have to deal with heading in to this game is the availability of linebacker, Sean Lee, who injured his hamstring in the first quarter of their game against Atlanta, and didn’t return.

Without Lee in the lineup, the defense struggled to slow down the Falcons. If he is unable to go against the Eagles, the Cowboys will be in trouble.

Final word…

The Eagles are coming off a bye, which gives them the advantage because they are well rested. However, this is a must win for Dallas, so take the Cowboys +3.

Play: Cowboys +3 (+108)
