Seattle Seahawks Analysis…

The Seahawks seemed poised to make a playoff run after defeating the Philadelphia Eagles to improve their record to 8-4. However, two consecutive losses to the Jacksonville Jaguars and Los Angeles Rams have them on the outside looking in.

The Seahawks are currently one game behind the Atlanta Falcons, who are in the 6th and final playoff spot, but they are also tied with the Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys, so a loss will all but eliminate them from the playoffs.

After a 42-7 drubbing at home at the hands of the Rams, there are a lot of people questioning if the Seahawks have what it takes to make the postseason.

With an injury-depleted defense, the Seahawks will have their hands full with the Cowboys, who will try to exploit their defense. After their embarrassing loss to the Rams, the Seahawks will try to bounce back with a big win and keep their playoff hopes alive, but they will need Russell Wilson to help them get the job done, which means his line has to do a better job protecting him than they did against Los Angeles.

Dallas Cowboys Analysis…

After the Cowboys lost their first three games without running back Ezekiel Elliott, NFL insiders felt the team had given up on the season. However, they were able to win their next three games and find themselves very much alive in the NFC playoff picture.

Things are looking up for the Cowboys who will have Elliott back for this game after sitting out the last six due to a six-game suspension handed down by the league before the start of the season.
With Elliott back in the lineup, expect the Cowboys to focus on running the ball, which they did very successfully before Elliott began his suspension. If they can run the ball well, Things will be easier for Dak Prescott, who struggled without Elliott in the backfield.

Elliott’s presence means defenses have to focus on stopping the run, which will open up a lot of things for Prescott and the passing game. With the Legion of Boom hurt, the Cowboys should be able to pass the ball effectively.

Final word…

The Seahawks will play hard, but the injuries will be too much to overcome. Take Dallas -4.5.

Play: Cowboys -4.5
