Packers vs Vikings Week 11 NFL Spread Betting Pick

The NFL game of the week will be the NFC North matchup between the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings. The game will be played at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, and is scheduled to begin at 4:25 PM. ET.

Prior to the season, this game didn’t stand out in the schedule because most people didn’t expect the Vikings to be contenders this season. Now that we are past the halfway point of the season, Minnesota is 7-2 and on top of the NFC North.

The Packers were expected to win the NFC North, which they have dominated since Aaron Rodgers became the quarterback of the Packers. They started off very well winning their first six games, but they are currently on a three-game losing streak and in danger of settling for a Wild Card spot instead of one of the top two seeds in the conference.

Adrian Peterson has been the secret to Minnesota’s success this season. After being forced to miss most of last year, people weren’t sure what to expect from Peterson this year, especially since he is at an age where his skills are expected to be diminished as a running back.

Rodgers is due for a big game.

Rodgers is due for a big game.

Peterson has put all the doubts to rest and is currently the league’s rushing leader with 961 yards and 5 touchdowns. Last week, he ran for a season-best 203 yards and tied the NFL record with his sixth 200-yard rushing game.

Unlike in previous seasons, Peterson has been getting some help from his supporting cast, especially Teddy Bridgewater, who continues to play well in his second NFL season.

The Vikings defense has also been very good this season, allowing only 17.1 points per game this year which is good for second in the league. They will be expected to continue playing at a high level for the team to extend its winning streak to six games.

The Packers have been in an offensive slump the last few weeks, which has contributed to their current three-game losing streak. Most of the blame has fallen on Aaron Rodgers, who is the reining league MVP.

While Rodgers hasn’t been at his best, he has still been playing well, the problem the team seems to have is their lack of depth at the receiver position. Randall Cobb, who has been dealing with a shoulder injury, has done a great job this season, but the other receivers on the team haven’t produced consistently. If they can’t turn things around quickly, the team isn’t going to go far in the playoffs.

Another problem the Packers are having offensively is the running back position. Eddie Lacy was supposed to be the team’s feature back, but he hasn’t performed very well this season. Due to Lacy’s inconsistency, he has been demoted to the backup position and James Starks has been named the starter.

If the Packers are going to win this game, they will have to find a way to run the ball consistently because the Vikings have one of the best pass defenses in the NFL.

My Pick

The Packers have won nine of the last 11 meetings between these two teams, with one of the games ending in a draw. Even though this is a rivalry game, the one-sidedness of this series is hard to ignore, which is why I’m picking Green Bay to win the game.

Play: Green Bay to win
