How To Bet On Preakness Stakes From Kansas, Missouri or Nebraska

The 2026 Preakness Stakes will take place at Laurel Park this Saturday, May 17th. The race was moved from it’s normal location at Pimlico Race Course due to construction.

Kentucky Derby winner, Golden Tempo, will not be in the field, choosing to forgo a shot at the Triple Crown in order to rest for the Belmont Stakes in June. There are five horses with 6-1 or shorter odds to win the Preakness, which shows there are several top contenders in the field of 14 horses. The Preakness Stakes will be broadcast on NBC from 4pm to 7:30pm ET with the race post time scheduled for 7:01pm ET.

On this page I will outline our top rated betting site for Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska residents, touch on betting on the Preakness in those states, look at the race odds, and finish with a simple 3 step guide you can follow to bet on the Preakness Stakes online.

Preakness Stakes Betting in Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska

Nebraska did legalize sports betting in May of 2021, but regulated sports betting is not yet available in the state. Kansas does have legalized sports betting available in the state after their regulated sports betting market launched in September of 2022. Missouri also launched regulated online sports betting in the state in December of 2025.

All of that said, residents of Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska can still bet on the Preakness Stakes through offshore betting sites that are licensed and regulated outside of the USA, while accepting American players. Bovada.lv, our recommended betting site, falls into this category.
