In this example the Bulls are -210 favorites, which means you would have to bet $210 to win $100 betting on the Bulls. The Pistons are +175 underdogs, so a $100 wager on Detroit would win $175 if they pull off the upset.
Over/Under (Totals)
The over/under, also known as the total, is a bet on the number of points scored by both teams in the game. The sportsbook will set at total and you can bet on whether the amount of points scored will be over or under this amount.
In this example the over/under is set at 218 points. Over bets would win if 219 or more points are scored in the game, while under bets would win if 217 or fewer points are scored. If exactly 218 points are scored then the total bets would push and wagers would be refunded.
