Since Pete Carroll took over as the head coach of the Seattle Seahawks, the team has been one of the best in the NFL, and has been to two Super Bowls in the past four years, winning one. However, the Seahawks have suffered early exits in the playoffs in the past two seasons, leading to questions about the team’s ability to return to the Super Bowl in the near future.
Last season, Seattle went 10-5-1, which was good enough to win the NFC West, but was only good enough to earn the team a Wildcard spot in the playoffs. The Seahawks were able to defeat the Lions in the Wildcard round, but fell to the Atlanta Falcons in the Divisional round of the playoffs in a lopsided 36-20 loss.
The Seahawks retooled in the offseason, and addressed one of the biggest concerns, their offensive line, and are hoping to reclaim their spot as the best team in the NFL.
In this article I’m going to look at the various futures bets you can make on the Seattle Seahawks 2017 season. I’ll look at their Super Bowl odds, as well as their odds to win the NFC East, total wins and their week 1 game.

To Win Super Bowl
- Seahawks +1200
Seattle is tied for the third best odds of winning the Super Bowl behind the defending champions, the New England Patriots (+375), and the Green Bay Packers (+750).
The NFC has been represented by three different teams in the Super Bowl in the past three years, which is good news for Seattle, because there isn’t a dominant team like there is in the AFC, where the Patriots have been to two of the past three Super Bowls.
If the Seahawks can finish with the best record in the conference, they will be the favorites to win the NFC because they are very difficult to defeat at home. At +1200, the Seahawks are a great value because they still have the toughest defense in the NFC. If their offensive line holds up this year and gives Russell Wilson time to make plays, they will be in the mix for the best record in the NFL.
To Win NFC West
- Arizona Cardinals +300
- Los Angeles Rams +1200
- San Francisco 49ers +1800
- Seattle Seahawks -350
The Seahawks have the best odds to win the NFC West, which they have done in three of the past four seasons. However, they will face some competition from the Arizona Cardinals, who are expected to bounce back from a 7-8-1 season, and are also one of the few teams that have defeated the Seahawks in Seattle in recent years.
Regular Season Total Wins

The Seahawks have won at least 10 games in the past four seasons. Even though the team hasn’t been as dominant in the past two seasons, there is no reason to believe the team won’t win more than 10 games this season especially since they get to play the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams four times during the regular season.
Seahawks Week 1 Betting Lines
The Seahawks open up their season on the road against the Green Bay Packers. The point spread for the game is +3 for the Seahawks. The over/under on total points scored is 49.5 at -110.
This will be a tough game for both teams, but I don’t like the Seahawks on the road against a team that also has something to prove so I’m going with the Packers to win this game.
