I’m going with Senor Buscador at odds of 5-1. He won the San Diego Handicap in July with a very fast speed figure, and has proven he can cross the finish line first, with 3 wins in his last 7 races. His best races have come at 1 1/16 mile and shorter distances, but I think he has raced longer races enough now, that he should be able to keep the speed up for the full 1 1/8 miles of the Awesome Again Stakes.
If you’re looking for a horse with longer odds, I think Celestial Moon actually has a chance at odds of 30-1. He had his best race earning a win at the beginning of the month at Del Mar, and seems to be trending in the right direction.
