Thursday night football is back for week 2 with two powerhouses battling it out. The Chicago Bears are coming off a big statement win at home over the Colts where the offense was firing with 41 points scored. The Packers though, who are more used to putting up big offensive numbers, faltered in their first game, losing to the 49ers at home in a game they were 5 point favorites. The Packers will be playing at Lambeau Field once again and two losses in a row at home will not be the start they were looking for.
Bears vs Packers Betting Odds
Online sportsbook Bookmaker.eu currently has the Green Bay Packers as 5 point favorites, just like they were against the 49ers last week.
The over/under is set at 49.5 total points and the money line was not yet available at the time of writing this post.
Story Lines
With the Packers loss this game just got even bigger because it has given the Bears hope that they can win the NFC North. To do this though they have to beat the Packers in big games and this week 2 match up qualifies.
The game features two of the best throwing quarterbacks in the league and Jay Cutler is coming off a huge game with 2 touchdowns and 333 yards passing. Rodgers also had a big game with 303 yards and 2 td’s in the losing effort.
We will also have to look for Forte and Bush to get lots of carries against the Packers, and for Benson to be more involved in the game than he was for the Packers against the 49ers.
