Bet On PGA Waste Management Phoenix Open – Odds and Picks

The Waste Management Phoenix Open is one of the most fan friendly tournaments of the PGA season.  The tourney takes place this weekend at TPC Scottsdale and you can be sure that there will be tons of drunken fans having a blast at the 16th hole, which is surrounded by grandstands during the tournament.  I love watching players react to the cheers and boos on this hole where the fans really take no prisoners.

The Phoenix Open is one of my favourite tournaments to watch each year and a big part has to do with the stadium hole.  That said, the entire course is beautiful with a lot of great holes making for interesting shot selection from the players.

In this article I’ll take a look at the outright winner odds for the 2017 Waste Management Phoenix Open and give you a couple of players I will be throwing a few dollars on.  I’ll also provide a simply step by step guide to get you started betting online if you’re interested in wagering on this golf tournament.

2017 Waste Management Phoenix Open Odds

Here are the current outright winner odds for this golf tournament from Bovada.lv.  I’ve only included the top 30 favorites for the tournament, but if you want to see the entire list of betting lines for the golfers in this touranment head over to Bovada.lv and click on ‘Golf’ to bring up the entire odds.

As you can see Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas and Hideki Matsuyama are the big favorites heading into this tournament.

My Picks

I have a couple picks for this tournament, the first being Justin Thomas.  He’s taken a couple weeks off after starting 2017 going 2 for 2 with wins at both the SBS Tournament of Champions and the Sony Open in Hawaii.  He has the length to really attack the par 3’s on this course and he’s also been dialed in on the par 4’s which will be key at this tourney as well.  If Thomas can play like he has so far in 2017 he has a real shot to make it three wins in a row.

Play: Justin Thomas +900

I’m going with some more very quality recent form by taking Tony Finau as my other play.  Finau had another great week finishing T4 at the Farmers Insurance Open last week, which makes it 3 straight 20th or better placings in his last three tourneys (T9, T20 and T4).  Finau has the length to really attack the par 5’s and his approach game has been solid of late as well, which should put him in position to contend in this tournament as long as he knocks down some putts.

Play: Tony Finau +4000
