Bet On Pittsburgh Steelers vs Philadelphia Eagles – Betting Picks

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Eagles will meet at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday afternoon to battle it out and determine which team is the best in the state of Pennsylvania. With both teams sporting identical 2-0 records, this will also be one of the biggest NFL games of the week. The game is scheduled to begin at 4:25 PM. ET.

Let’s get into the odds on this game and then I’ll give my favorite pick.

My Pick

With six Super Bowl rings, the Steelers have been the more successful franchise, but the Eagles have also had their share of success.

This season, the Steelers are considered a favorite to win the Super Bowl, and after two games, they definitely look the part. Without the services of Montavious Bryant and LeVeon Bell, who are both serving suspensions, the Steelers offense hasn’t missed a beat, and Ben Roethlisberger looks like a front runner for the MVP award.

The Big Ben to Brown connection should be in full force on Sunday.

The Big Ben to Brown connection should be in full force on Sunday.

The Eagles came into the season with a lot of question marks because the team got rid of head coach Chip Kelly during the offseason, and most of the players Kelly acquired during his time in charge. The team also drafted rookie quarterback Carson Wentz, who was expected to be brought along slowly.

Before the season began, Wentz was named the opening day starter, and he has rewarded his coach’s confidence with two wins to start the season. Not only has Wentz played better than expected, he also hasn’t thrown an interception this season, making him the first rookie to win his first two games without turning the ball over.

Against the Steelers, Wentz will be facing the toughest defense he has played so far. The Steelers have been great against the run and preventing opponents from scoring, but their secondary has given up a lot of yards in two games, which means the Eagles best chance of moving the ball effectively is through the air.

If Wentz can exploit the Pittsburgh secondary on Sunday, it will put the Eagles in a favorable position to win the game.

The Steelers will approach this game like their first two. They will try to establish the run with DeAngelo Williams, who has played well in Bell’s absence. The team will also rely on Antonio Brown to make plays in the secondary, which might be tough against an Eagles defense that is allowing only 12 points per game.

One concern the Eagles coaches have is Carson Wentz and his ability to avoid taking big hits. The coaches love his poise in the pocket, but he sometimes stands in there too long, resulting in a big hit for their opponents. If he doesn’t change his style, he will take too many hits and eventually get sidelined.

Final Word…

The Eagles have looked good in their first two games, but I’m still not convinced they are a very good team, which is why I’m picking Pittsburgh to cover the spread and win the game.
