The most fun you can have betting on the Super Bowl is getting action on some of the wild and wacky prop bets that online sportsbooks offer for the big game.  You can find props for anything from the length of the national anthem, to the color of the winning teams gatorade shower and everything in between.  These types of prop bets really add to the excitement of the Super Bowl and make for some very interesting viewing.

In this article I will outline a few examples of the common prop bets you can place on the game and then also get into the fun, wacky, novelty props on offer at the end.  I will also provide you with a very basic 3 step guide to getting your bets in on these props online in time for Super Bowl 52.

Super Bowl Prop Bets – Game Focused

Super Bowl 52 MVP

It’s basically a toss up between Tom Brady and everyone else according to these Super Bowl 52 MVP odds.  If the Pats get the win you can be sure everyone is going to be trying to give the MVP to Brady even if he just has an above average game.  On the flip side though, if the Eagles win I think it could be a defensive player that gets the nod.  Fletcher Cox at +3300 or even Malcolm Jenkins at +10000 could be good value plays if the Eagles defense shuts down Brady and the Pats en route to a win.

More Passing Yards

  • Tom Brady (-25.5) -155
  • Nick Foles (+25.5) +125

The oddsmakers are spotting Nick Foles 25.5 yards through the air vs Brady, and even then Brady is a -155 favorite to cover that spread.  I personally like Foles here.  If the Pats get up early he will be let loose to toss deep balls, which can rack up yards quickly if converted.  That’s just a big spread, especially when I think the Eagles will still have trouble moving the ball on the ground in this game.

Most Receiving Yards

I like Amendola here.  If Gronkowski doesn’t play or gets hurt early, which I think is definitely possible, Amendola should become the main target for Brady in the middle of the field, which is the weakest point of the Eagles secondary.  We saw Amendola step up in a big way last week and I would not be surprised if he did it again.

Super Bowl Prop Bets – Fun Novelty Props

Ok, that’s enough of the normal football related prop bets.  To see a full list head over to  There is an absolutely monster selection of Super Bowl prop bets where you can basically bet on any statistic from the game.

Here are some of my favorite novelty props for the game:

Time To Sing National Anthem

  • Over 2 minutes -160
  • Under 2 minutes +120

I’m going over here with a very confident play.  Pink can hold a note and I wouldn’t be surprised if she milked the anthem for every last second.

How many times will “wardrobe malfunction” be mentioned during the broadcast?

  • Over 1.5 +300
  • Under 1.5 -500

With Justin Timberlake as the half time show performer there will certainly be references to the infamous wardrobe issue when he performed at half time with Janet Jackson.  That said, I doubt they bring it up at all.

How many times will Donald Trump tweet on February 4th?

  • Over 5 -140
  • Under 5 +100

The Donald Trump twitter account is always a hot topic and a great prop betting opportunity.

Will any QB throw for 400 or more yards in the game?

  • Yes +300
  • No -500

I think this would be a minor miracle given the ability of both of these defenses.

What color will the liquid be that is poured on the winning coach?

  • Lime/Green/Yellow +225
  • Orange +300
  • Red +400
  • Clear/Water +400
  • Blue +400
  • Purple +1000

This is a very popular Super Bowl prop.  I always go with water on this prop because if the players have any decency they won’t get their coach all sticky for the trophy ceremony.

As you can see the prop bets can get pretty outrageous.  There are several other Pink, Justin Timberlake, Janet Jackson and other celebrity props you can bet on as well.  Check out for the full list.
