Bet On Super Bowl 58 Props – Fun Novelty Prop Bets With Picks

The most fun you can have betting on the Super Bowl is getting action on some of the wild and wacky prop bets that online sportsbooks offer for the big game.  You can find props for anything from the length of the national anthem, to the color of the winning teams gatorade shower and everything in between.  These types of prop bets really add to the excitement of the Super Bowl and make for some very interesting viewing.

In this article I will outline a few examples of the common prop bets you can place on the game and then also get into the fun, wacky, novelty props on offer at the end.  I will also provide you with a very basic 3 step guide to getting your bets in on these props online in time for Super Bowl 58.

All of the props I’m looking at below are taken from The odds were taken on February 9th.

Super Bowl Prop Bets – Game Focused

Super Bowl 58 MVP

If the Chiefs win the Super Bowl, it is expected that Patrick Mahomes will likely win the MVP Award. If the 49ers win then it’s most likely that Brock Purdy receives the honor. That said, a few big plays from one of the other players on either team and the MVP could be given to someone other than the winning teams quarterback. I think Isaiah Pacheco at +2200 is an interesting play. If Pacheco is able to have a big game with multiple touchdowns en route to a Chiefs upset victory, then I think he could get the nod.

First Offensive Play of the Game

  • Rush -165
  • Pass +130

This is a popular prop bet that you will often see on Super Bowl Props sheets. What offensive play will get the Super Bowl underway.

You can find more prop betting lines related to the game by selecting ‘Added Game Props’ or ‘Added Player Props’ under the ‘Football’ and ‘Super Bowl’ drop down menus at

Super Bowl Prop Bets – Fun Novelty Props

Ok, that’s enough of the normal football related prop bets.  To see a full list head over to  There is an absolutely monster selection of Super Bowl prop bets where you can basically bet on any statistic from the game.

Here are some of my favorite novelty props for the game (odds for all props from on February 9th unless otherwise noted):

Time To Sing National Anthem

  • Over 86.5 seconds -180
  • Under 86.5 seconds +140

**These odds are from February 6th. The odds have been changing and being taken down/reposted by BetOnline after Reba’s rehearsals. I think the total will be closer to 90.5 seconds on Super Bowl weekend.

Reba McEntire is singing the National Anthem this year. It will the third year in a row that the Anthem is sung by a country singer, with Chris Stapleton singing the anthem last year and Mickey Guyton the year before. Guyton sang the anthem in 115 seconds in 2022, which was actually 20 seconds above the 95 second total that was available at sportsbooks. I think she’s the best comparable to Reba McEntire of recent Anthem performers. That said, Reba McEntire has sung the National Anthem at other events in her career and she usually completes the song in just over 80 seconds, which is why the total is so low. That said, I would lean the over to bring her version more in line with Super Bowls of the past.

Who will the MVP Refer to 1st

  • Teammates -150
  • God/Religion +150
  • City/Fans +775
  • Family +1200
  • Coaches +1400
  • Team Owner +2000

This is always a popular prop as well, and you can usually get some insight based on which players are most likely to win the award. I think teammates is the most likely reference regardless of who wins the Super Bowl this year, so I think the odds accurately reflect that likelihood.

First song sang by Usher for his half-time show?

  • Caught -300
  • OMG +100
  • My Way +500
  • Yeah! +1000
  • U Got It Bad +1000
  • DJ Got Us Fallin In Love +1200
  • Love In The Club +1200
  • Burn +1200
  • GLU +1600
  • Superstar +1600
  • Good Good +2000
  • My Boo +5000
  • Boyfriend +5000

**The above odds are from January 6th. BetOnline has been removing some half-time show betting markets when the information becomes public knowledge.

Usher has a huge catalogue of hits to choose from when deciding which song to open her half-time show with. also has several other half-time related betting lines including Usher’s first word, Usher’s appearance props (shirt color, necklace type, etc.), and whether other artists will make an appearance (Lil John, Ludacris, etc.).

What color will the liquid be that is poured on the winning coach?

  • Blue +275
  • Clear/Water +300
  • Yellow/Green/Lime +400
  • Purple +425
  • Red/Pink +450
  • Orange +500

This is a very popular Super Bowl prop.  I always go with water on this prop because if the players have any decency they won’t get their coach all sticky for the trophy ceremony. Last year the liquid was purple for the Chiefs victory, so some bettors expect the Chiefs to use purple once again. Clear/Water hasn’t been correct in about a decade, so it’s surprising it’s has odds of just 3-1. Blue was considered a longshot at odds of 5-1 earlier in the week, but it’s now become the favorite.

Which chiefs fan celebrity will be shown first on the broadcast?

  • Paul Rudd +300
  • Henry Winkler +350
  • Eric Stonestreet +400
  • Jason Sudeikis +400
  • David Koechner +400
  • Melissa Etheridge +500
  • Brad Pitt +600
  • Rob Riggle +700 has several of these “seen first” prop betting lines including notable 49ers fan (Keegan Michael Key, Dr. Disrespect, Andy Samberg, Jeremy Renner, etc.), notable 49ers rapper fan (E-40, 24kGoldn, Birdman, Saweetie), and which Hangover actor will be shown first (Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, Ed Helms, Justin Bartha).

As you can see the prop bets can get pretty outrageous.  There are several other Usher, Reba McEntire, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Brock Purdy, Christian McCaffrey, broadcast and game props that you can bet on as well.  Check out for the full list.
