Bet On The 2019 Dubai World Cup – Odds and Picks

The Dubai World Cup regains it’s title as the “richest horse race in the world” thanks to the Pegasus World Cup reducing the purse of it’s big race to $9 million this year.  The Dubai World Cup will carry a purse of twelve million USD this year, and that massive prize pool has attracted the top horses in the world. North America and last years winner Thunder Snow are the two favorites heading into the 2019 Dubai World Cup,

The Dubai World Cup (official website here) is considered one of the most prestigious races of the season and this year fans will be able to watch the race in the United States on NBC Sports.

In this article I will look at the early odds for the Dubai World Cup and also provide you with a three step guide to placing your Dubai World Cup bets online leading up to the race.

2019 Dubai World Cup Odds

Here are the current odds for the race from  These are futures odds and will remain locked in if you place your bets before race day.  If you place your bet on race day in the Bovada Racebook then the odds will use the parimutuel betting format which allows for fluctuation depending on the amount of money coming in on each horse.

As you can see North America and Thunder Snow are the two favorites, but this is really anyone’s race with Seeking The Soul, Yoshida, Mckinzie and Gunnevera all with legitimate shots of winning the race. The field is also not confirmed at the time I’m writing this article, so other horses, such as Audible may draw in and shake up the odds.

My Pick

I like Seeking The Soul at +800 to win the Dubai World Cup. This horse seems to be peaking at the right time, having finished second at the Pegasus World Cup, and putting up decent performances at both the Clark Handicap G1 (3rd) and Breeders Cup Dirt Mile (2nd) to close out the 2018 season. With both City of Light and Accelerate not competing, I think the time is now for Seeking the Soul to get a big win.

You can see in this clip below that Seeking The Soul caught Accelerate down the stretch at the Pegasus World Cup.
