Today the starting pitchers will be right-handed Doug Fister for the Nationals and lefty Madison Bumgarner. During the regular season Fister had a 16-6 record with a 2.41 era and 98 strikeouts in 164 innings pitched. He is 4-0 in his last 4 starts. In the 4 starts he allowed a combined 4 earned runs. Bumgarner is 1-0 in this year’s postseason. In the Giants wildcard game victory over the Pirates he pitched a complete game shutout.
Nationals vs Giants Prediction
Prior to it starting I expected this series to go the length but the Giants are just a gritty team that is hard to beat in the postseason. They’ll close out the series today behind another gem from Bumgarner.
