Bet On the NBA – OKC Thunder @ New Orleans Pelicans – December 2nd

I was incorrect in my last NBA pick as the Mavericks (-12.5) did get the victory over the Knicks but only by 7 , 109-102 in overtime last Wednesday night. This evening I like the Thunder-Pelicans game as it’s the return of Kevin Durant for OKC.

Oklahoma City Thunder (5-12) @ New Orleans Pelicans (7-8)

After only winning 3 of their first 15 games the Oklahoma City Thunder have won 2 straight games. On Friday they were victorious at home 105-78 versus the Knicks as injured guard Russell Westbrook returned to the lineup. They have failed to score 100 or more points in 12 of their 17 games. They are 4-1 when they score 100 or more. The team is averaging 90.9 points per game, 30th in the league. They are giving up 93.2 points per game, 4th in the league. They are 1-7 on the road this season. They are 0-2 versus Southwest division opponents. Tonight is the start of a 3 game road trip. The New Orleans Pelicans have lost 3 straight games and 4 of their last 5 after starting the season 6-4. On Saturday evening they were defeated at Washington 83-80. In their last 3 games they have failed to score more than 91 points. They are 7-2 when they score 100 or more points. The team is averaging 100.5 points per game, 15th in the league. They are giving up 98.8 points per game, 13th in the league. They are 4-2 at home this season. They are 2-2 versus Northwest division opponents. Tonight is a brief 1 game stop at home before going on the road for 3 in a row.

Last season Oklahoma City was victorious in 2 of 3 meetings with New Orleans. After tonight the teams play 3 more time this season.

Thunder vs Pelicans Prediction

Tonight is the return of Thunder superstar Kevin Durant. It will be the first time this season the Thunder have had both Durant and Westbrook in their lineup. That alone will propel the Thunder to a victory.

Take the Thunder -3
