Bet On The 2021 NCAA Final Four – Odds and Picks

And then there were four. The 2021 Final Four match-ups are set. Gonzaga and Baylor are the two remaining #1 seeds, and both teams will be the favorite in their respective Final Four match-up. Gonzaga will face UCLA (#11), who are the cinderella team of the tournament, having started out in the First Four before winning 5 straight games in the tournament to reach the Final Four. Baylor will battle with Houston (#2) who were expected to qualify for the Final Four after the #1 seed in their region, Illinois, was knocked out in the second round.

On this page I will give you my betting picks for both 2021 Final Four games and then finish up by outlining a 3 step guide you can follow to quickly get your Final Four bets placed online.

Gonzaga #1 vs UCLA #11

  • Gonzaga -14 (-113)
  • UCLA +14 (-107)
  • Gonzaga -1150
  • UCLA +725
  • Over/Under 145

Gonzaga is a massive 14 point favorite against the #11 seeded UCLA Bruins in the Final Four. Gonzaga destroyed USC in their Elite Eight game and are looking every bit of the pre-tournament favorite that everyone expected. UCLA squeaked by Michigan by a basket in their Elite Eight game, in what was a sloppy affair that did not provide confidence that UCLA could compete with Gonzaga. The result is this 14 point spread and huge difference in money line odds.

Even though UCLA did not look good against Michigan, they have still shown the ability to defeat quality teams in this tournament, while changing up their style to battle different opponents. Their wins over Alabama and Michigan, the #2 and #1 seeds from their region cannot be overlooked. The Pac-12 was given no respect entering the NCAA Tournament, but Oregon State and USC both managed runs to the Elite Eight, while Oregon made it to the Sweet Sixteen (losing to USC). All of a sudden UCLA’s losses to those three teams to close out the Pac-12 season do not look so bad.

Yes, Gonzaga is a far superior team and I would not want to bet on the UCLA money line at +725, but the 14 points looks like too wide a spread for a Final Four game in my opinion. UCLA is playing some very solid basketball of their own, and their top players have shown the ability to step up in big moments. I think they will at least keep this game vs Gonzaga within single digits.

Play: UCLA +14

Baylor #1 vs Houston #2

  • Baylor -5 (-118)
  • Houston +5 (-102)
  • Baylor -210
  • Houston +180
  • Over/Under 135

Baylor has cruised to this point in the NCAA Tournament, winning their four games by 9 or more points each. They have looked every bit the #1 seed and are the rightful favorite in this Final Four game with Houston.

All of that said, I’ve been very impressed with Houston in this tournament. I don’t think Houston gets enough respect for the determination they showed against an Oregon State team that was very difficult to deal with in the Elite Eight. Oregon State came back from a significant deficit to tie the game late in the second half, but Houston stuck with it and focused on offensive rebounds to beat the 1-3-1 zone that Oregon State was implementing. Houston also impressed against Syracuse, completely shutting down the offense of the Orange. I really like this Houston team and I think they have a legitimate shot of beating Baylor in the Final Four.

I like the money line at the above odds, but if the spread moves to 5.5 or more then I would be on Houston plus the points.

Play: Houston +180
