This years Belmont Stakes race take place on Saturday, June 5th at Belmont Park in New York. The race will return to it’s normal distance of 1.5 miles and it’s regular position as the third leg of the American Triple Crown. This is after last years Belmont Stakes was shortened and became the first leg of the Triple Crown after the 2020 Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes were postponed.
There will not be a Triple Crown winner crowned at the 2021 Belmont Stakes. Medina Spirit was unable to follow up his Kentucky Derby win, finishing third at the Preakness Stakes. That said, the Belmont Stakes is still one of the biggest races of the year and I’m expecting plenty of media attention and betting action.
On this page I have recommended our top rated betting site where Georgia, Alabama and Louisiana residents can bet on the Belmont Stakes, touched on the legal climate of sports betting in each state, looked at the Belmont Stakes odds and finished with a simple 3 step guide you can follow to get your Belmont Stakes bets placed online quickly.

Belmont Stakes Betting in Alabama, Georgia and Louisiana
It is currently not legal to operate a sportsbook in Alabama, Georgia or Louisiana. All three states are in the early stages of regulating sports betting in their states, with bills for sports wagering introduced, so this could change in the future.
At this time residents in Alabama, Georgia and Louisiana must place bets through offshore betting sites that are licensed and regulated outside of the United States. BetOnline.ag falls into this category.
2021 Belmont Stakes Odds
Here are the fixed odds from the BetOnline sportsbook for the Belmont Stakes race (from May 28th).
As you can see, Essential Quality is the favorite to win the race. He won his first five career races before finishing 4th at the Kentucky Derby. Rombauer, the Preakness Stakes winner, is the second favorite.
