UEFA Euro 2024 is now entering the quarterfinals. There are 8 teams of the 24 remaining with the single elimination bracket portion of the tournament continuing this Friday and Saturday, July 5th and 6th. The Euro 2024 Finals will take place at Olympiastadion in Berlin on July 14th. The 8 remaining European nations will battle it out to see who can win 3 more matches to become European Champion.
The UEFA European Football Championship crowns the continental champion of Europe every four years. The tournament is typically the second most-watched soccer tournament in the world, next to only the World Cup. Even with the United States competing in Copa America at the same time, I still expect a lot of American viewers to be watching and betting on Euro 2024 this summer.
On this page I will touch on the current state of betting regulation in Texas, look at the bets you can make on the tournament and explain where you can bet.
Where To Bet
Sports betting is not legal in Texas. Legalizing it would require a constitutional amendment approved by lawmakers and voters. Licensed sportsbooks in neighboring states are an option if you travel there, since you must be physically located in a legal state to place a bet.
Other options include prediction markets such as Kalshi and Polymarket, daily fantasy sports apps where they are available, and offshore sportsbooks, which accept US customers but are not licensed or regulated by any state. Our guide to sports betting in the USA breaks down every option.
Sports Betting Regulation in Texas
It is not currently legal to operate a sportsbook in the state of Texas. The Texas Legislature meets every two years, so 2025 is the next opportunity for sports betting legalization in the state.
At this time Texas residents can place bets through offshore sportsbooks that are licensed and regulated outside of the United States.

Germany is the slight underdog with odds of +185 indicating a $100 bet on Germany would win $185 (payout $285). A $100 bet on a draw would win $215 (payout $315).
Sportsbooks also offer a much longer list of betting markets. Check out our soccer page for breakdowns of some of the common betting options.
For the knockout round matches you may prefer to bet on which team will advance to the next round (including extra time and penalty shootout). Here are how the odds to advance look for the Spain vs Germany match (odds taken July 4th):
