The 2021 French Open will begin this week at Stade Roland Garros in Paris. This years French Open will return to it’s regularly scheduled dates in late May – early June after last years tournament was pushed back to September due to the covid-19 pandemic.
On the Men’s side Rafael Nadal will look to make it five French Open titles in a row, while Novak Djokovic attempts to add a second Grand Slam title during the 2021 season. On the women’s side Iga Swiatek, the defending champion, is the favorite, but all eyes will once again be on Serena Williams to see if she can finally claim her 24th Grand Slam title.

2021 French Open Winner Odds
Here is a screenshot of the futures odds for the winner of the 2021 Men’s Singles French Open tournament. These odds will change as the tournament progresses. You can find the up to date odds at Bovada.lv by selecting ‘Tennis’ from the secondary sports menu and then selecting ‘Futures’ from the ‘Game Lines’ drop down menu.
Rafa Nadal is the favorite at odds of -125. He’s the rightful favorite considering he’s won the tournament the last four years and has shown the ability to take his game to another level at Roland Garros, as shown by his 13 French Open titles.
Nadal also recently defeated Djokovic in the finals of the Rome Masters, so he is in top form entering the tournament. I am surprised that Djokovic has longer odds than Tsitsipas though, considering that Novak is also playing great tennis of late.
On the women’s side things are more wide open, but Iga Swiatek is the clear favorite as the defending champion. She also showed she is in top form once again having won the Italian Masters last week. Ashleigh Barty and Aryna Sabalenka, the first and fourth ranked players in the world round out the list of top contenders. World #2, Naomi Osaka withdrew from the tournament citing mental health issues. Serena Williams at 14/1 looks interesting. She continues to come close to the elusive 24th major title, but she’s stumbled late in tournaments losing in the semi-finals of both the recent Australian Open and US Open.
