It’s fight week! Khabib Nurmagomedov will return to the octagon this Saturday, October 24th to defend his lightweight belt against interim title holder, Justin Gaethje. The fight is set to take place at UFC 254 from Fight Island in Abu Dhabi.
Khabib has not fought since defending his belt against Dustin Poirier over a year ago. He was scheduled to fight Tony Ferguson for the belt this past April, but travel issues resulted in Justin Gaethje stepping in for Khabib to face Ferguson for the interim belt. Gaethje took advantage of this opportunity outclassing Ferguson to win the interim belt and set up this showdown with Khabib.
UFC 254 will close out another month of UFC fights at Fight Island and as usual, the UFC is saving the best for last.
