It’s race day! The 2024 Belmont Stakes will take place this evening (Saturday, June 8th) at Saratoga Race Course in New York. The race will move to Saratoga for the first time ever because of ongoing renovations at Belmont Park. The change of venue will result in the race distance changing from the traditional 1.5 miles typical of a Belmont Stakes, to 1.25 miles this year at Saratoga.
There will be no Triple Crown winner at this years Triple Crown. Mystik Dan, the Kentucky Derby winner, was unable to follow up his Derby win with a victory at the Preakness, finishing 2nd. That said, the Belmont Stakes is still one of the biggest races of the year and I expect plenty of betting action on race day.
The 2024 Belmont Stakes will be broadcast from 4-7pm EST on FOX. The post time for the race is 6:41pm.
