The 2025 World Junior Championship begins today (December 26th, 2024) and finishes with the gold medal game on January 5th, 2025. The tournament will be held in Ottawa, Canada making this the fourth tournament in the past five years hosted in Canada.
Team USA are the defending gold medal champions after defeating Sweden 6-2 in the 2024 World Juniors Championship final. Team USA and Team Canada are the two favorites to win gold at this years tournament. Either the US or Canada have won each of the past five World Junior tournaments.
