Justify got the job done, winning the Preakness Stakes a few weeks back, to ensure that there will be a Triple Crown on the line at this years Belmont Stakes. The media coverage and overall anticipation is tenfold for the Belmont when there is Triple Crown potential, so I’m expecting the race to get hyped up this weekend. Justify is a sizable favorite heading into the race with the odds indicating he has a better than 50% chance of becoming the 13th horse in history to win the Triple Crown. That said, Hofburg, Bravazo, Tenfold and Vino Rosso cannot be overlooked and will be trying to spoil the party.

2018 Belmont Stakes Odds
Here are the early week odds (taken on Tuesday) from Bovada.lv. These are the futures odds for the race and your bet will be locked in at the odds you place your wager at. If you place your bet on race day the odds you find in the Bovada Racebook will be using the parimutuel betting system, which means the odds can change leading up to the race depending on the amount of money that comes in on each horse.
As you can see, Justify is a -125 favorite to win this race. Hofburg, who many expect to be perfect for the longer distance of the Belmont, is the second favorite at odds of +400. Outside of these two we also have Bravazo +700, Vino Ross +900 and Tenfold +1000 who have 10/1 or better shots at winning the race.
I’m probably going to be on Tenfold at 10/1. I was impressed with his race at the Preakness and I think he could surprise.
