Jake Paul is returning to this boxing ring on August 6th and will be facing a significant step-up in competition from his previous 5 professional fights. Paul will fight 12-1 heavyweight professional boxer, Hasim Rahman Jr, at Madison Square Garden. The event will be broadcast on Showtime PPV.
Jake Paul has leveled up his opponent in each of his professional boxing fights. He defeated fellow YouTuber AneSon Gib in his first pro fight, then defeated ex-NBA player Nate Robinson, and MMA champions Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley (twice). The second Woodley fight Paul leveled up his performance by knocking out Woodley after getting a decision win in their first fight. The Woodley rematch was short notice after Tommy Fury pulled out of their originally scheduled event last December.
Paul was scheduled again to fight Tommy Fury on this upcoming event, but the British boxer once again pulled out citing issues with entering the US. With Fury out Paul has found an even more challenging opponent in Hasim Rahman Jr. who is bigger and more experienced than Fury. Rahman Jr is a heavyweight with a 12-1 professional record and over 100 amateur fights.
