Bet On The 2017 Belmont Stakes – Odds and Picks

With Cloud Computing winning the Preakness Stakes a few weeks back Always Dreaming (the Kentucky Derby winner) no longer has a shot at the Triple Crown, which takes some of the luster away from this years Belmont.  That said, this is still a very prestigious race in it’s own right and there are some very solid horses taking part this year including Classic Empire, who was the second favourite heading into both the Derby and Preakness this year, but will be the sole favourite for the Belmont.

If you missed the Preakness this year, here’s a replay so you can get an idea of what brought us to this point.

In this article I will look at the odds for the Belmont Stakes early in the week and also provide a 3 step guide to getting your Belmont Stakes bets placed this year.

2017 Belmont Stakes Odds

Here are the early week odds from Bovada.lv.  These are the futures odds and the odds are fixed at the price you see if you place your wager before Saturday.  If you place your bet on race day the odds you see in the Bovada.lv Racebook will be using the parimutuel betting format, which means the odds can change depending on the money that comes in on each horse up until post time.

As you can see Classic Empire is the favorite to win this race, with Epicharis and Lookin at Lee as his biggest threats heading into the race.  I do think that Classic Empire is a cut above the rest of this field and should get the job done on Saturday.  He will be my bet for the 2017 Belmont Stakes.

How To Bet On The 2017 Belmont Stakes In The USA

Here’s a quick 3 step guide to getting your bets in on the Belmont Stakes this year if you reside in the USA.

#1. Open a Bovada.lv Account

The first step is to open an online betting account that accepts Americans.  Bovada.lv is our top rated betting site for USA residents and they have one of the best racebooks in the business, which makes them the perfect option for placing a bet on the Belmont Stakes.

Bovada is currently offering a $250 bonus to new sign ups.  They also are primarily focused on the American market, which means the sportsbook, customer service and banking options are all catered towards Americans.

#2. Fund Your Account

Next up you’ll have to make a deposit.  Bovada accepts credit card, Rapid Transfer and Bitcoin deposits.  All three of these options are very easy and quick for Americans to use.

Also, remember that Bovada is offering a 50% up to $250 bonus for new sign ups.  I suggest depositing $500 to take full advantage of this offer.

3. Place Your Belmont Stakes Bets

Now that you have money in your Bovada account it’s time to bet on the Belmont Stakes race.

Once at the Bovada website, select ‘Horses’ from the left sidebar to head over to the Racebook section of the site.  Once there you should select ‘Belmont Park’ and locate the Belmont Stakes race on Saturday.

If you’re placing your wager before race day you can do so by clicking on ‘Horse Racing Futures and Props’.  This will bring up the futures odds, which will look similar to the screenshot I posted above.

Check out our Belmont Stakes betting information page for some more general info about the race.

That’s it.  Are you ready to bet?  Click here to visit Bovada.lv…
